Horse Communication – Horsemanship-type training
There
are many
excellent books on improving the relationship
between rider/human and horse, the only shortcoming is they
frequently seem to focus on teaching horse training techniques without
also focusing on
developing the personal awareness of the rider/human handler. Horses
communicate with each other and us
using quite direct body language, and read the same language in us as
they do in each other - often we are simply not aware of this, and so
may inadvertently cause confusion, fear, stress and even anger in the
horse.
Communicating
effectively with horses also need not be something
reserved for the few 'horse whisperers' or animal communicators - it is
at the disposal of each of us. This simple, yet powerful
language of understanding can forever change the working partnership
between rider and horse. Learn how to read your horse more
accurately, communicate more effectively, and have a relationship that
brings joy.
Course Format (½ –day)
A number of courses will be on offer this year at Mizpah Farm Retreat
If you would like to invite 5 friends and host a course, as host and
organiser you attend for free. Contact us to book dates and
discuss further details.
Private Lessons (1 – 1 & ½ hrs)
This gives you an opportunity to learn while working with a horse and
the facilitator one-on-one. You also have the opportunity to work
with your own horse. These lessons/sessions can be at Mizpah or
where you keep your horse. We would focus on the areas of
communication you would like to improve on and also specifically with
your horse.
